more lincoln

here are some updated pictures of lincoln. he is six weeks old now. he LOVES when people talk to him. he smiles and tries to talk back. he loves to cuddle, is a very happy boy and loves his tummy time.

i'd put him on his side and he managed to roll to his tummy from there.

he loves his siblings and cousins and they all love him. lincoln had a special moment with his cousin tyson(14) on sunday. as soon as tyson began holding him lincoln talked and smiled and laughed! that was his first laugh. and he just kept laughing at tyson. it was really cute.

precious moments?

the kids and i have been looking through some old pictures today. after we looked at pictures of when hudson was born he said to me, "mom, i'm tired of being out of your tummy."

family prayer

tonight hudson said the family prayer. it went like this:

"Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. please help us to sleep safely. please help the tigers not get us and please make the tigers kill (he meant 'die') and help the tigers to go to heaven. in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."

he wasn't trying to be silly or funny so i found it pretty funny. that kid cracks me up.

libby

libby continues to be the most exciting member of our family. she is so incredibly cute, although infuriating at times. she's still the most fun of any of my babies but also the craziest! the things she finds to put in her mouth . . . ! sometimes we are just amazed.

making friends/enemies with the ants. she loves to watch them. the other day she was trying to stomp them with her bare feet and some time before i caught her trying to eat one.

i wish you all could hear her jibber-jabber. she has the sweetest little voice. she likes to sing, too. maybe i can get her on video sometime.

mother's day cards

it was a great mother's day this year. i had to post the cards ethan and the kids gave me because they are so cute.

ethan gave me this card. inside it says: "your shipment of diapers has arrived."

it's funny(sad) cuz it's true! i change sooooo many diapers. three kids in diapers!

the kids did this for me. i love it. so cute.

we had a wonderful mother's day picnic in our yard with grilled turkey burgers, fruit salad, pasta salad and other yummy things. i have such a great family!

new lincoln pictures

here are some new pictures of lincoln. he's growing fast - now at 1o pounds 12 ounces and almost two inches longer than when he was born.

maria and lincoln. she loves to hold him - and he loves to be held. if you look closely you can see maria's missing tooth! it came out the night of the 23rd and lincoln was born the next morning.

we've been trying to figure out who he looks like. babies in general have a lot of similarities so it can be hard at this stage to see family resemblances. but we were looking through some of ethan's baby pictures and think that lincoln may take after him. ethan is very hopeful for that.

congratulations to elise! it was a close contest. elise guessed 9 lbs 6 oz. ethan's dad guessed 9 lbs 8 oz. lincoln came in at 9 lbs 7 oz, but his 7 oz were closer to 6 than 8.

elise will be getting a $10 gift card to kohls for her winning guess!
